SMC Packaging Group is a full-service provider of corrugated packaging, point-of-purchase displays, protective shipping cartons, and ancillary packaging supplies. Based in Springfield, Missouri, we have satellite operations in Kansas City, Mo., Conway, Ark., and Tulsa, Ok.

These benefits include a 401k plan, ESOP, Group Health plans, plus dental and vision plans. We have two bonus plans, based on performance and company profitability. Plus, all employees are provided with life insurance and short-term disability coverage.
401k plan
Company matches 50% of contributions (up to a 3% match) after one year of service.
ESOP
After one year of service, all employees are eligible to join the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
Group Health Plan
Members participate in funding the Plan through pretax payroll deductions while SMC funds the largest share.
Dental & Vision
After 90 days, employees are eligible to elect coverage for dental, vision, or both.
Paid Holidays
Nine paid holidays each year, in addition to paid vacation time.

Team Spotlight
After working for years as a McDonalds Crew Trainer and server at a Hibachi restaurant, Kaitlyn Carter began working at SMC part-time. In just months, Kaitlyn decided to pursue a full-time career at SMC, and she was promoted, earning a competitive living wage and generous benefits.
Kaitlyn says, “I like the positive work environment that encourages teamwork, as well as learning new skills. The will to learn and work hard, along with the leaders and coworkers who teach us, help me and others like me to be successful.”
Team Spotlight
Cal Pearson has been a valuable part of team SMC for more than 30 years. He began working right after his graduation from College of the Ozarks, where he played basketball. Cal has held several positions on the Corrugator, but has made himself an expert clamp truck operator. Cal moves tons of rollstock paper from the warehouse to machines to begin production. He also helps organize the rollstock inventory.
Outside of work, you will probably find Cal coaching youth basketball and mentoring at-risk kids. We’re grateful to employ the talent, skill, and character of Cal Pearson.
